Parole Illinois is a coalition of people inside and outside of prison working to transform the perceptions, policies, and power relations that have maintained excessive punishment in the state. The mission of Parole Illinois is to build a more healing justice system.

The advocacy campaign deliverables included a new brand, image treatments, social media graphics, document layouts, and basic website. Ongoing support was provided for print and digital to communicate the various ways parole is good policy for any state.

Inspired by the artistic expression of people incarcerated in Illinois with life sentences, these illustrations help visualize their stories of hope and humanity, of change and growth. People can heal and transform, and they offer lessons to communities across country as we all work to be human to each other, even in the most difficult situations.
