A collection of student illustrations highlight our differences; race, gender, age. Yet these illustrations work together to create an inclusive patchwork of meaning. Surrounded by what makes Rutgers special, from its global reach to its community focus, the design shows that diversity, inclusion, and community engagement matter at the university.

Poster campaigns take their core values and create a design system for consistently reaching the student population. Print and digital assets reinforce what Rutgers is all about. These values illustrate how the university aims to make the ideal of a beloved community real, shaping their action-oriented goals:

Illustration & Type

Inspired by the Rutgers photo library, individual students are illustrated in their own sculptural portrait. Head and shoulders with unique traits and attributes make up this diverse student body. In Rutgers brand colors with additional textures for depth. Custom letterforms are designed to showcase the values in a linework treatment to reinforce the patchwork nature of the overall design.
