K12 Climate Action
A coalition who believes our schools are an essential tool in the fight against climate change. An initiative from the Aspen Institute.
K12 Climate Action is launching to learn about the needs and opportunities for schools to move toward climate action. The commission will develop an action plan that considers how the education sector can mitigate, adapt, educate, and advance equity to respond and address climate change.
They are building a coalition of people and organizations from across the country who believe our schools will be an essential tool in the fight against climate change and want to support our schools to be a force toward climate action, solutions, and environmental justice.
Brand & Website
In order to unlock the power of the education sector to be a force toward climate action, this new initiative needed a name. And from there, a brand, website, and social media assets up to the task. We worked with their team from the beginning to give them what they needed to launch and engage with schools across the country:
The name is where education meets environmentalism.
The logo is clean, bold, and confident.
The website is where their mission lives, with the content needed to tell their story in a clear, engaging way.
The social media assets are the beginning of branded, coordinated outreach.
The collateral documents are for communicating their research and action items.
Fall 2020 makes it clear our society will need to adapt to uncertain future. For now it’s because of a pandemic. Next up is climate change. America’s schools are in a unique position to help us get to where we need to be, where we’re focused on advancing and sustaining our new reality. K12 Climate Action will be an important organization in this effort as their work moves across the country.
